Our Winter in West Texas

The internet is a dangerous place, especially late at night. Once upon a time on a midnight thumb scroll and a ‘I NEED THIS’ kick, I was seconds away from ordering a Prada Marfa sign for the house. (I have a decade long Gossip Girl obsession!) I kept seeing these pictures with a Prada building in the middle of a desert. After a few more thumb clicks, I discovered Marfa was a place in Texas with a faux Prada store. After months of begging Eddie, we finally made it.
I will admit I was initially underwhelmed by the city of Marfa. But quickly learned I was SO wrong! You know what they say of those who assume…? Besides a getaway with my family, enjoying nature in a town moving at it’s own pace was honestly the best part of our trip. The stars at night and nothing to block views of the surrounding hills and mountains were everything! In January we got the best of both worlds – warm, sunny days and cold, windy nights.

Travel Tips: 1) Make reservations where ever you want to eat. 2) If you see gas station, get gas even if you think you don’t think you need it.
